Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Location: Allen, TX
Schedule: Part-Time (2 days per week)
Salary: $60,000 - $90,000

Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient care
- Assessing and treating patients with gastrointestinal diseases and conditions
- Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals
- Assess, diagnose, and treat residents' physical and mental well-being
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
- Prescribe medication and administer treatments
- Provide counseling to residents and their families
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for seamless coordination of care
- Manage chronic conditions and monitor progress
- Make appropriate adjustments to care plans
- Commitment to person-centered care
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for elderly residents in the nursing home
Requirements - Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
- DEA License
- CPR BCLS/BLS certified
- Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
- Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- A year of experience in Gastroenterology
- Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
- Must have great organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
