Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Mental Health Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to support the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Hospital located at 2094 Albany Post Road, Montrose, NY 10548. Multiple shift schedules are available. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Responsibilities

• Utilize observation skills for data collection, reporting and recording patient/resident observations.
• Reports patient observations to the RN and or other members of the treatment team.
• Organizes and obtains routine supplies and equipment.
• Safeguard the patient's right to privacy by judiciously protecting information of a confidential nature.
• Uses proper safety practices.
• Performs and documenting prescribed medical treatment and interventions for patients, such as diabetic urine testing and blood testing, simple dressing changes.
• Engage in-group activities such as off-station trips, reality orientation, current events and other therapeutic groups with direction and close supervision.
• Administers complete tracheostomy care, including suctioning.
• Removes defective equipment, reports hazards, observes safety regulations, contributes to infection control, and utilizes proper aseptic technique in performance of duties.
• Serves as the unit safe patient handling liaison.
• Orients members of the health care team to the units as appropriate.
• Manages distributed patient behavior and by appropriately intervenes and request assistant from other health care members.
• Appropriately initiates basic life support, takes actions appropriate action.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a CNA
• Be trained and experienced in hospital nursing 
• Has and maintains current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Has no health or physical disability restrictions that interfere with performance of assigned duties
• No Sponsorship available

Position Pays: $21 - $26.09/hr

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
