Physical Therapist – Statewide Travel Assignment  

Location: Across NM State 
Type: Contract / Travel 

Position Overview  

We are hiring a Physical Therapist to join our statewide travel pool, providing therapy services at various locations throughout New Mexico. This role offers the opportunity to support a wide range of patient populations while working with dynamic clinical teams across outpatient, inpatient, long-term care, home health, and school environments. 

Key Duties  

• Perform comprehensive PT evaluations 

• Build individualized, goal-focused treatment plans 

• Deliver therapeutic interventions and manual techniques 

• Update treatment plans based on ongoing progress 

• Complete documentation per facility and regulatory expectations 

• Participate in collaborative care with nurses, physicians, and therapists 

• Coach patients and caregivers on exercises and recovery strategies 

• Travel to assigned facilities within New Mexico to meet patient needs 

Required Background  

• New Mexico PT license (active or eligible prior to start) 

• DPT/MSPT from an accredited program 

• At least 1 year of recent PT experience across any recognized clinical setting 

• Current AHA BLS certification 

• Strong adaptability to varying environments and EMRs 

Preferred Skills  

• Experience working across multiple therapy settings 

• Strong communication and organizational abilities 

• Previous travel or float experience 

• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
