**Job Title: Restoration Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Restoration Technician to join our team on a landfill in San Marcos. You will work closely with biologists and the resources team to maintain California vegetation and support environmental restoration efforts. **Responsibilities** + Chop weeds while maintaining California vegetation. + Work in one of three groups: hand weeders, backpack sprayers, or line trimmers. + Hand weeders will use hand tools to chop weeds while bent down. + Sprayers will carry pesticides in backpacks and follow behind weeders to ensure weeds do not regrow. + Perform vigorous, full-time outdoor work. + Park and hike into the site when necessary due to recent rains. + Plant pots as scheduled within project timelines. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years of outdoor construction or landscaping work. + Experience with line trimming. + Experience with hand weeding. + Experience with spraying. + Positive attitude. + Ability to lift 50+ lbs unassisted. + Strong verbal communication skills. + Comfortable working outside in the heat. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + General labor experience. + Vegetation and greenery management. + Environmental and construction knowledge. **Why Work Here?** This is a great entry-level position for anyone looking to start their career in a respected environmental consulting company. The work schedule is from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Juan Capistrano, CA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
