Supplier Diversity Specialist Location North Charleston, SC :

Title: Supplier Diversity Specialist

KBR is looking to hire a Supplier Diversity Specialist to join the team. This position will report to the Procurement Compliance Manager, Defense Systems Engineering (DSE). Work onsite at the Fulton, MD office preferred with the option to occasionally work remote. Under direct supervision, performs routine assignments as an entry level professional. Develops core job competencies with existing procedures by solving standard problems.

The Supplier Diversity Specialist job duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Performs full range of procurement and administration activities associated with procurement and compliance work
• Monitoring small business spending for internal and external reporting
• Preparing and reviewing subcontracting plans, small business volumes, and participation plans
• Outreach with current and potential small business suppliers
• Supporting proposals for all aspects of small business
• Interfacing with various KBR program teams
• Participation in GSUS wide harmonization efforts
• Participating in and preparing for internal and external audits related to small business
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• BA or BS degree or 8+ years of experience with procurement in lieu of a degree

Skills/Abilities Required:

• General knowledge of business principles and practices, purchasing, contracting, negotiating, research, finance, and relationship management principles and practices
• Understanding of the FAR, particularly regarding Small Business Program requirements
• Strong writing, critical thinking, organizational, and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
• Ability to demonstrate good judgment in applying laws, regulations, and policies and procedures
• Works proactively and collaboratively to resolve issues and accomplish team objectives
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Effective in working with individuals and groups from a wide variety of backgrounds and organizational levels
• Proven capability to work well under pressure with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent assignments to meet deadlines

Availability to work nights, weekends, and travel as required
